Holidays in Hawaii
Hawaii, the 50th State, is America with a difference, not only with its cultural diversity and the wonderful Polynesian 'aloha' spirit of kindness, but also the golden beaches and rolling surf – truly a surfer's paradise.
Oahu is the most popular island with lots of shops, hotels and nightlife, and the ever popular and well known Waikiki beach, but is also home to endless stretches of less crowded white sand beaches and picturesque harbours. A visit to famous Pearl Harbour is a must.
The island of Maui has the reputation of being one of the most romantic and magical places on earth. Every December, an amazing thing happens in the waters between Maui, Molokai and Lanai - thousands of majestic Pacific Humpback whales come home to their favourite winter haven to breed and give birth.
Horse riding, tennis, water sports and golf are available and of course – whale watching trips and trips to the volcano summit.
Kauai – known as the Garden of Scenic wonders has 43 white sand beaches and is also home to the 3567 foot deep Waimea Canyon, often called the “Grand Canyon of the Pacific”. You will not find any high rise hotels on Kauai as no structure can be built higher than a mature palm tree. Kauai has been the film location site for more than 60 major motion picture and television films, including classics such as South Pacific and Blue Hawaii with Elvis Presley and Jurassic Park III, Lilo and Stitch and To End All Wars.
